Contemporary artist, Yvan Sagamba, was born and raised in Rwanda. His obsession with art began at an early age in primary school, and later became a passion. Sagamba was fortunate enough to be admitted to an art school in high school. He graduated in 2018 with a focus in Graphic Arts, and has been making art as a career and a profession ever since. Sagamba’s work falls across multiple mediums, and touches various concepts and themes relevant to his own experiences. In 2023, Sagamba came to Camphill Village Kimberton Hills which he feels has been a great experience on both a personal level, and for his creativity.
Hilda Kauffman is a Chester County artist and a longtime friend of Camphill. She studied sculpture and anatomy at the Art Students League in New York City and had a career in graphic design. She is fascinated by the human face, what it reveals and what it conceals. Even the most “ordinary” face holds great depth and beauty when observed with care and interest.
Proceeds from the sale of the drawings will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.
